Use Cases
Handshakes API offers the capability to retrieve data of corporates and individuals in our standard report structure, which can be seamlessly integrated into your applications for different purposes, such as:
- Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Check
- KYC Process
- Investigation
- Research
The reports can be provided in different formats (JSON, PDF, XML).
Pre-requisites

A desktop API client (e.g. Postman or Insomnia) has been installed on your local environment.

A valid Handshakes account (Refer to Sign Up for Your Account for more details on account sign-up)

A valid Access Token (Refer to Getting your Access Token for more details on Access Token retrieval)

Credentials (Name or ID) of your subject entity (corporate or individual)
Mapping out the APIs
We design our APIs to generally adopt the Search and Retrieve approach, whereby you will first perform a Search to obtain IDs of the companies or entities that you are interested in, before performing a Retrieve to get the results that you desire.
Please refer to the tables below for the sequence of calling the respective Search and Retrieve APIs for each report type.
Entity Profile Report (EPR)
This report contains subject individual or company’s basic profile, current and past appointments, current and past shareholding/shareholders, charges, and associated entities.

This report contains subject individual or company’s litigation check results, with complete details of related Singapore civil cases.
No Search required. As long as the subject company or individual is involved in any Singapore civil cases, the check results with details of cases will be returned.
